ASMI ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Polsia Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the ASMI application at wish4.polsia.app.

We take your privacy seriously. ASMI is built to be local-first — most of your personal data (affirmations, recordings, journal entries) lives on your device. What we collect on our servers is minimal and described in detail below.

We use your data to:

• Provide and improve the ASMI Service
• Identify your account and sync your recordings across sessions
• Send you product updates and feature announcements (you can opt out anytime)
• Process and manage Premium subscription payments via Stripe
• Analyze usage patterns in aggregate (anonymized) to improve the app
• Respond to your support requests and inquiries
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

4. Data Storage & Security

ASMI is hosted on Render (render.com) with PostgreSQL databases provided by Neon. We implement industry-standard security practices including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Encrypted database connections
• No storage of plain-text passwords (passwordless auth via email)
• Payment data handled entirely by Stripe — we never store card numbers

Voice recordings stored on our servers are associated with your email address. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is 100% secure. Use the Service at your own discretion.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:

• Stripe — for payment processing (they have their own privacy policy)
• Render / Neon — our hosting and database infrastructure providers
• OpenAI / Anthropic — for AI features (affirmation generation, vision board images). Your goal pillars and custom affirmation prompts may be sent to these services to generate content. We do not send identifying information such as your email to AI providers.
• Law enforcement — only when required by valid legal process

6. Email Communications

If you joined our waitlist or entered your email in the app, you may receive emails from wish4@polsia.app about new features, product updates, and announcements.

Every email we send includes:

• A clear unsubscribe link — click it to stop receiving emails immediately
• Our company name and contact information
• An accurate subject line that reflects the email content

To unsubscribe at any time, click the unsubscribe link in any email from us, or email wish4@polsia.app with the subject "Unsubscribe". We will process your request within 10 business days in accordance with the CAN-SPAM Act.

Transactional emails (e.g., account access, payment receipts) are exempt from unsubscribe requests as they are necessary for the Service.

7. localStorage & Cookies

ASMI uses your browser's localStorage (not cookies) to store your app data. localStorage stores data locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly save data (like recordings) through the app.

Data stored in localStorage includes your affirmations, journal entries, goal pillars, audio preferences, and onboarding status. This data persists until you clear your browser data or uninstall the app.

We may use minimal session cookies for analytics and security purposes. These do not contain personal information.

To clear your local data, you can clear your browser's localStorage for wish4.polsia.app in your browser settings.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request we correct inaccurate personal data
• Deletion — request we delete your account and associated data
• Opt out of emails — unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
• Data portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent — opt out of non-essential analytics at any time (click "Reject Non-Essential" in the banner at the bottom of any page, or clear your browser's localStorage for this site)

8a. California & State Privacy Rights (CCPA / VCDPA)

We do not sell your personal information. This applies to all users regardless of location.

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) / CPRA:

• Right to Know — request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
• Right to Delete — request deletion of personal information we have collected, subject to certain exceptions
• Right to Opt Out of Sale — we do not sell personal information, so this right is already honored by default
• Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any CCPA rights
• Right to Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information

To submit a CCPA request, email wish4@polsia.app with the subject "CCPA Privacy Request". We will respond within 45 days as required by law. You may also use an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf.

ASMI uses optional analytics (session identifiers stored in localStorage) to understand how users interact with the app. You can opt out of this non-essential tracking at any time by clicking "Reject Non-Essential" in the cookie consent banner.

9. Children's Privacy

ASMI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at wish4@polsia.app and we will delete it promptly.

10. International Users

ASMI is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from your jurisdiction.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK, we rely on your consent and legitimate interest as legal bases for processing. You have rights under GDPR including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
